Dunoon Burgh Hall: a week of ceilidh, postcard art, an exhibition and a book launch

Here is a note of events at Dunoon Burgh Hall – from a preview today, 20th November, from 6pm to 7.30pm,  of Freda Waldapfel’s art exhibition to the launch of Roy Pedersen’s new book, Who pays the ferryman, at 7pm on Monday 25th November – an issue of great interest in Dunoon.

Fundraising Family Ceilidh
This Friday – 22 November – from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.  Adults £5, children £2.  Licensed bar.  Many thanks to Portavadie Marina for the excellent raffle prize of a three-course meal for two with a bottle of wine.  Any other prize donations always very welcome!

Everyone is an Artist
Our fundraising Postcard Art exhibition with everything for sale for just £15.  Come in and grab a bargain Christmas present!  Many thanks to the many artists who have so generously contributed their work – 70 people so far, and they are still arriving.
Preview this Wednesday, 20 November 6pm – 7.30pm
Exhibition open from 21 November to 7 December, Thursday to Sunday, 12noon to 3pm.

Freda Waldapfel Solo Exhibition – The Harris Collages
We are delighted to be exhibiting the beautiful work of Freda Waldapfel in the main gallery in parallel with ‘Everyone is an Artist’. The exhibition will feature 30 original and affordable images inspired by the landscape of Harris and the Outer Hebrides.
Preview this Wednesday, 20 November 6pm – 7.30pm
Exhibition open from 21 November to 7 December, Thursday to Sunday, 12noon to 3pm.
